CNC Busbar Sawing and Folding Machine

CNC Busbar Sawing and Folding Machine for transformer and switchgear busbar processing, offering precise sawing, folding, and forming.

Product Introduction

The TRANFOVIA CNC Busbar Sawing and Folding Machine integrates circular-saw cutting and hydraulic folding in one CNC-controlled system for copper busbar production. The saw is servo-driven through a rack-and-pinion mechanism for reciprocating cutting feed and retraction, while the folding section uses coordinated hydraulic-axis movement to form the busbar.

Applications

The machine is used in transformer, switchgear, electrical cabinet and power-distribution production when copper busbars need to be cut by circular saw and then folded or formed in an integrated CNC workflow. It is suitable for factories that want to reduce transfer between separate sawing and bending stations and standardize repeated cut-and-form operations on busbars up to the listed processing range.

Main Features

  • Servo-driven circular saw

The circular saw moves through a servo-driven rack-and-pinion system for cutting feed and tool return.

  • 600 kN hydraulic force

The hydraulic system uses dual-speed and dual-pressure rapid oil supply with up to 600 kN output force.

  • Two-axis coordinated folding

Hydraulic cylinders lift to different heights through coordinated motion to create the folding effect.

  • 6-axis CNC control

The machine uses six control axes to coordinate sawing and forming operations.

  • Integrated cut-and-form workflow

Processing can move from saw cutting to folding without treating the equipment as a punch/shear line.

CNC Sawing & Folding vs. CNC Punching & Shearing

Equipment / Process Choose It When Main Boundary
CNC Sawing & Folding Machine You need circular-saw cutting followed by coordinated folding/forming in one process. No punch die library; the machine is not intended as the main hole-punching station.
CNC Punching & Shearing Machine You need holes, slots, embossing and shearing on long copper/aluminum busbars. Uses blade shearing rather than a circular-saw cut-and-fold workflow.

Buyer Selection Points

  • Busbar section— Confirm maximum width and thickness against the 260 mm × 6 mm listed processing range.
  • Cut quality requirement— Confirm whether circular-saw cutting is preferred over shear cutting for the required finished end condition.
  • Folding geometry— Provide bend/fold drawings, sequence, radii and finished part dimensions.
  • Line arrangement— Confirm whether upstream punching or downstream finishing will be handled by separate machines.

FAQ

  1. What is a CNC busbar sawing and folding machine used for?

It combines circular-saw cutting with hydraulic folding/forming of copper busbars in one CNC-controlled system.

  1. Is it the same as a CNC busbar punching machine?

No. It does not replace a dedicated punching station. Its core process is sawing plus folding.

  1. What busbar size is listed?

The listed processing range is up to 260 mm wide and 6 mm thick.

  1. Why use a saw instead of shearing?

Sawing and shearing are different cut methods. This machine is selected when the production route requires circular-saw cutting before folding.

  1. What information is needed for a proposal?

Provide busbar material, width, thickness, cut length, fold geometry, cycle expectations and upstream/downstream equipment.
