Transformer Core Binding Machine

Transformer core binding machine with adjustable tension, pitch, speed and working height for non-woven, semiconductive and heat-shrinkable tapes.

Product Introduction

The TRANFOVIA transformer core binding machine wraps and binds large transformer cores without repeatedly relocating the core. Its vertical elevator positions the winding head from 500 to 5,200 mm, while adjustable tension, speed, pitch and wrapping height allow one machine to handle different binding materials and core geometries.

Bind Large Transformer Cores Without Repositioning

Manual core wrapping often requires operators to move ladders, shift material reels or reposition the workpiece as the binding point changes. On large transformer cores, these interruptions make it difficult to maintain the same tape overlap, pitch and pulling force from the bottom of the core to the upper binding area.

This machine keeps the transformer core in place and moves the winding head vertically to the required working height. The 500-5,200 mm elevator travel covers a wide binding range, while the open winding head provides access around the core structure. The operator can set the process parameters for each binding material and core section before starting the wrapping cycle.

Supported Binding Materials

Binding Material Typical Process Role
Non-woven binding belt General core securing and wrapping where a flexible textile binding material is required.
Semiconductive adhesive tape Binding areas that require a semiconductive tape layer in the approved core assembly process.
Heat-shrinkable tape Core binding processes in which the tape is subsequently shrunk to tighten the wrapped structure.
Insulating paper Wrapping or separation layers used around specified core sections during assembly.

Applications

  • Large transformer cores requiring binding at multiple vertical positions.
  • Factories using several tape or paper materials with different tension and overlap requirements.
  • Production routes where moving the core between binding positions would increase handling time or risk.
  • Plants that want to monitor binding-material consumption and equipment energy use.

FAQ

  1. Does the transformer core need to be moved during binding?

No. The machine is designed to complete wrapping and binding while the core remains in position. The winding head moves to the required vertical working height.

  1. What binding materials can be used?

The machine can process non-woven binding belts, semiconductive adhesive tapes, heat-shrinkable tapes and insulating papers used in transformer core assembly.

  1. Which process parameters can be adjusted?

Tension, winding-head speed, pitch and wrapping height can be set for different materials and core sections.

  1. What is the vertical working range?

The elevator travel range is 500-5,200 mm, allowing the winding head to serve binding positions at different heights.

  1. What is the maximum winding-head speed?

The rotational speed is adjustable from 0 to 10 rpm. The operating speed should be selected according to material type, tape width, overlap and binding quality requirements.

  1. Can the machine track material consumption?

Yes. The system can calculate and summarize binding-material usage together with equipment energy consumption.

  1. What information is needed for a quotation?

Provide the core drawing, binding positions, material specification, roll size, target pitch, required tension, workshop power supply and safety requirements.
