Side-Position Lamination Cutting for Transformer Core Production

The TRANFOVIA Side-Position Transformer Core Cutting Line is designed for transformer manufacturers whose approved lamination process uses a side-position reference. The listed XE-ZZ-300Z and XE-ZZ-400Z configurations process 0.23-0.35 mm silicon steel at 180 m/min, with burr ≤0.02 mm, cutting-length accuracy ±0.1 mm and cutting-angle accuracy ±0.025°.

How Side-Position Core Cutting Works

In this machine family, the silicon steel strip is referenced from the side as it moves through the cut-to-length sequence. This configuration is relevant when the transformer factory already uses side-position processing in its approved core lamination method or wants the new line to match an established material-reference approach.

How to Specify a Side-Position Core Cutting Line

  • Silicon steel grade and thickness.
  • Minimum and maximum strip width.
  • Required lamination cut-length range.
  • Required holes, V-notches, angles and step sequence.
  • Required collection or stacking arrangement.
  • Existing side-reference dimensions if the line must match a current production standard.
  • Plant electrical standard and target production volume.

FAQ

  1. What silicon steel thickness can the side-position line process?

The listed range is 0.23-0.35 mm.

  1. What is the listed cutting-length range?

Both listed models cover 350-2000 mm cutting length.

  1. What feeding speed is listed?

The side-position family is listed at 180 m/min.

  1. What burr and dimensional accuracy are specified?

The listed values are burr ≤0.02 mm, cutting-length accuracy ±0.1 mm and cutting-angle accuracy ±0.025°.

  1. Is side-position cutting the same as center-position cutting?

No. They use different material-reference approaches. Selection should follow the transformer factory’s approved lamination process, core design and preferred production method.

  1. When should a transformer manufacturer choose the side-position configuration?

Choose it when side positioning is an established requirement in your core lamination process, when the new line must match existing factory practice, or when the approved lamination drawings and production method are based on a side reference.

  1. What information is needed to confirm the line configuration?

Provide lamination drawings, material grade and thickness, strip-width range, cut-length range, punching/notching details, side-reference requirements, collection method and electrical standard.
