The Radiator Panel Edge Trimming Machine is designed for precision trimming of welded transformer radiator panels after the seam welding process.
The machine uses rotary shear cutting technology to remove uneven edges from both sides of the radiator panel, ensuring a clean, parallel, and dimensionally accurate panel profile.
With automatic edge positioning, adjustable cutting width, and integrated scrap cutting, the equipment improves downstream assembly accuracy and provides a stable preparation process for end cutting and header pipe welding.
It is an important processing unit in transformer radiator production lines, helping manufacturers achieve consistent panel dimensions, improved production efficiency, and reliable assembly quality.
The Radiator Panel Edge Trimming Machine is installed after the dual seam welding process and before end cutting and header pipe assembly.
The typical production sequence is:
Steel Coil Feeding → Hydraulic Mandrel Decoiler → Radiator Panel Roll Forming → Panel Turnover & Joining → Multi-Spot Welding → Dual Seam Welding → Edge Trimming → End Cutting → End Welding → Leveling → Header Pipe Assembly
After seam welding, the radiator panel edges may have slight deformation caused by the welding process.
The trimming machine removes excess material and restores the panel edges to the required dimensions, ensuring accurate positioning during subsequent end processing and radiator assembly.
The machine adopts rotary shear cutting technology to continuously trim both long edges of welded radiator panels with smooth and accurate cutting performance.
The left and right trimming units are arranged symmetrically, allowing both edges to be processed simultaneously while maintaining panel centerline stability.
The integrated flying knife system cuts trimmed scrap into short sections, allowing easy collection and preventing strip winding during production.
The split-frame structure supports flexible width adjustment for different radiator panel specifications.
Standard adjustment range: 310–520 mm
The rotary cutters use Cr12MoV alloy steel with HRC58–60 hardness, providing good wear resistance and long service life.
