Corrugated Fin Stiffener Spot Welding Machine

Corrugated Fin Stiffener Spot Welding Machine attaches reinforcement plates and steel bars with servo positioning, dual 50 KVA welding sources and stable spot welding control.

Product Introduction

The Corrugated Fin Stiffener Spot Welding Machine is designed for attaching reinforcement plates and round steel bars onto transformer corrugated fins.

During transformer tank manufacturing, larger corrugated fins may require additional reinforcement to improve structural stability.

The machine uses resistance spot welding technology, dual welding power sources, and servo positioning control to achieve accurate reinforcement welding while minimizing deformation of the corrugated profile.

It is an important downstream process after corrugated fin forming and seam welding.

Power sources

50 KVA × 2

Rated current

180 A

Fin size range

100–400 mm H / 400–1600 mm W

Cooling

30 L/min at 0.2 MPa

Position in Corrugated Fin Production Line

The stiffener spot welding machine is installed after corrugated fin forming and seam welding.

Typical production process:

Steel Coil → Decoiler → Corrugated Fin Forming → Seam Welding → Stiffener Spot Welding → Finished Corrugated Wall

After the corrugated fin profile is formed and the main seam is welded, reinforcement components are positioned and welded onto the fin surface.

This process improves the rigidity of large corrugated tank walls before final transformer tank assembly.

Key Features

  1. Reinforcement Welding with Low Heat Input

The machine uses resistance spot welding to attach reinforcement components.

Compared with continuous welding, spot welding applies heat locally, helping reduce thermal deformation of the corrugated fin profile.

  1. Dual 50 KVA Welding Power Sources

The machine is equipped with:

50 KVA × 2 welding transformers

with:

180 A rated welding current

Dual power sources provide stable welding energy for wide corrugated fins.

  1. Servo-Controlled Spot Positioning

The servo system controls:

  • Spot pitch
  • Welding position
  • Row spacing

The welding pattern can be adjusted through the control system according to different transformer tank designs.

  1. Wide Corrugated Fin Compatibility

The machine supports:

Fin height:

100–400 mm

Fin width:

400–1600 mm

covering a wide range of transformer corrugated wall applications.

  1. Cooling System for Stable Welding

The welding system uses water cooling:

30 L/min

at:

0.2 MPa

to maintain stable electrode temperature during continuous operation.
